Purchased 12 french wheaton maran eggs late last summer. I asked for the darkest of eggs as i needed to keep my dark strain going,I received the eggs and was immediately impressed with packaging and most importantly the egg colour. After incubating, 10 hatched and the remaining was fertile, very healthy strong birds and will almost certainly purchase more in the future. Well recommended. Many thanks.

It has long been one of my dreams to keep a few chickens and after lots of research I contacted Keith at Star Bank Poultry. I am a complete novice, Keith was able to answer all my questions and I arranged to collect 5 hybrid birds. Keith took great care to show me how to handle the birds, how to clip a wing, worm them and how much to feed etc. He gave me confidence and I know I can contact either Keith or Kevin with any query I might have in the future. Keith advised that it would take a couple of days for them to settle and start to lay. He was wrong about this though. When we got home there was an egg in the box that had been laid on the journey and 48 hours later we have already had 7 eggs!
I was very impressed with the organised and lovely clean set up at Star Bank. Keith showed us all his birds and they were all without exception in wonderful condition, especially their beautiful show birds. Thankyou for my lovely birds. They’ve settled in fantastically well. The best birds by far that I have, the only draw back is that I didn’t get more. If anyone is thinking of buying from this establishment, don’t hesitate, you’ll only regret it. I was shown how to worm and mite treat them……We did all the birds before I took them home. No extra cost. The service is just fantastic, they’ll tell you all you need to know and more. You’ll be more than confident caring for your chickens when bought here. Been looking at places since last October, If carlsberg did poultry, this would probably be the best.

I have been wanting a few chickens for a while and couldn’t believe that Keith and Kevin were only 100 meters away from me heard the cockerels but never thought, well called round and totally blown away, what a clean place and the knowledge that was given was so welcoming, 4 chickens later, they follow me around n after day 2 sat on my daughters leg 5 days later first egg my grandsons face was a picture and think this is what it’s all about, fun smiles and eggs. I first visited Star Bank Poultry about 18 months ago and bought 4 POL. I never intended having any more than that!!!. I now have 18 fully grown and 6 chicks (7 & 14 weeks)!!! Along the way Kevin and Keith have supported me and given me invaluable advice. Whether its worried about them, help in sexing chicks I have hatched, or for worming / mite medication.
